Policy Issues: Narratives and the Cultural Factor


Ipshita Basu is the Head of Research at the Institute of Governance Studies in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to this, Ipshita was a Lecturer in International Security at the University of Warwick besides holding a position as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster. Ipshita's area of research is International Development, with a particular specialisation in combining macro political and micro sociological analysis to investigate the effects of development on struggles around marginalization and economic injustice. She holde a BA in Economics and English Literature from Bangalore University, an MA in Gender, Literatur and Modernity from the University of Warwick and a PhD in International Development.
