We don’t let networking end when the program does! Our alumni forum is designed for our students and alumni to stay in touch with old and new friends and to give them a platform for exchange. What’s more, they will automatically be informed about job opportunities, events and alumni activities. Last but not least, we will provide our students and alumni with useful information on the program and the latest news.

"On the day I applied for the International Relations online Master's program offered by the Center for Global Politics, I had already worked in the Foreign Affairs sector for 4 years. As I wrote my application letter to the Free University of Berlin I remember struggling, because I believed that I had gathered sufficient experience in the field. However, it turns out I was mistaken.

The first week of in-house classes clearly demonstrated that I lack a large amount of information and base knowledge for me to even to begin appreciating and evaluating the things that are happening in the world.

Especially courses such as International Relations Theory and the Introduction and Tools course, felt to me like I had been sleepwalking in my field for those first 4 years. Only now after having graduated from the CGP, I can truly appreciate what I still continue to love doing in my professional life.

I learned to ask the right questions, to write concise reports and above all to evaluate any one event from at least three theoretical perspectives, thus providing for a clearer analysis of actions and the motivations behind them. This has been recognized beyond the grades on the transcript. Over the past 2 years since graduation I have received three promotions and am constantly given top priority tasks. Participating in and graduating the master's program has helped me in my professional career and continues to do so.

To sum up, a simple answer to "would I do it again" is "yes". The program has made me more humble towards the things I think I know, has helped me grow as a person and as a professional, and above all, when I look back at the program and the events that transpired - I always seem to smile."
